A college girl's guide to fashion
To be honest, I have so many style crushes, and one of them is Rachel Bilson. How could I not adore her wardrobe? It’s eclectic and chic, and it always seems like she’s put her outfits together effortlessly! If only I could figure out how to do this too….
Whether she’s on the red carpet or walking down the street, Rachel looks fabulous and definitely owns her style. Although she looks good at fancy events like the Oscars, my favorite outfits are often what she wears on the street. Her signature style includes hats (usually fedoras), boyfriend jeans, and blazers. What a perfect combination!
Because I’ve always wanted imitate her style, I’ve decided to feature Rachel as my first “Steal Her Style” celeb. As you can see above I’ve selected one of my favorite outfits that she wore recently, which incorporates her signature hat, jean, and blazer combo. My favorite element of this outfit is her floppy hat. It’s pretty adorable, right? And though a floppy hat like this is hard to pull off, Rachel manages to completely rock the hat! Paired with a metallic jacket, the hat definitely steals the spotlight, even though the jacket comes in a close second.
So what can every fashionista learn from this particular outfit? For starters, fashionistas like myself learn that boyfriend jeans are extremely flattering, especially when paired with heels. (Although Rachel is pretty short, her heels do a great job of lengthening her legs.) Secondly, fashion enthusiasts can learn that unexpected clothing combos are what makes an individual stand out in a crowd. Who thought that lax boyfriend jeans would look so good with a dressy blazer?
Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think of Rachel’s outfit! How would you grade it? As for me, I would give it an A-A+! What about you?
P.S.- Rachel is the one on the left!
