A college girl's guide to fashion
When it comes to shopping, jewelry is my kryptonite, most likely because I’ve always wanted to pursue jewelry design… Unfortunately, this dream has become a lost cause, as I have realized that I possess absolutely none of the skills that are required of jewelry making, such as welding and working with metals. I can draw designs for days, but I could never make these doodles a concrete reality. Gosh darn it.
In order to compensate for my lost dreams, I’ve settled for the occasional necklace or ring to lift my spirits. Although I don’t have a lot of money to spend on clothes of other fashion items right now, it seems that whenever I do get a check in the mail, I immediately invest it… On jewelry. Pathetic, I know.
I regularly scour the internet for deals on jewelry, so above I’ve shared with you the lowest priced, yet fashionable jewelry out there.
My favorite piece above is without a doubt the green stone necklace from Lulus.com. The fact that it is my favorite is somehwhat surprising to me, as I usually do not find extremely unique pieces of jewelry on this site. Rather, I find a lot of trendy, cookie-cutter pieces. Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I found this necklace on their site… Bravo Lulus!
In addition to this gem necklace, I also love the golden studs I have featured. Gage-looking earrings are the latest jewelry trend, and I think they’re here to stay! Why? Earrings like this give an edge to any outfit, immediately updating your wardrobe and style sense.
The cross earrings I have also featured are extremely trendy right now, where I see crosses on everything from bangles to rings. I think the asymmetrical nature of this specific pair of earrings makes them differentiate themselves from other simple cross earrings.
Finally, I adore the rings that spell out “love.” How adorable are they?!? I’ve never seen anything like them before, so they’re definitely going to make it on my Christmas wish list… Even though Christmas is months away…
Which piece of jewelry above is your favorite? I want to hear your opinion! Also, leave me a comment if you would like to know where any of the jewelry pieces are from!
